Wound care bandages and dressings

Sterile adhesive dressings include an absorbent pad and nonwoven with pressure-sensitive adhesive. Shower proof models contain semi-permeable thin plastic film. They are intended to cover and protect wounded or diseased tissue or postsurgical incisions. They may also be used to secure catheters, infusion ports or tubing to skin.

Gauze swabs can be used for non-invasive medical procedures, such as wound padding, absorbing blood and exudates, skin and wound cleansing or as secondary dressing.
